DM College of Science, Imphal is one of the first constituent college which was set in 1946 at Thangmeiband, Imphal, Manipur. The institute is a large one designed for 10000 students and is located on a vast area of 98 acres offering a multitude of Science courses right from the undergraduate to the postgraduate level. The college has a student enrolment of 2463 and a faculty consisted of 11, which make it most suitable for developing an excellent standard of education. DM College of Science provides undergraduate education in 5 major areas of learning and offers 24 courses of study in Science, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Environmental Science.

A host of facilities are provided at the college to meet every need of the student’s academic and personal development. The library which was started along with the college in 1946 is the oldest and the largest college library of Manipur and useful to the teachers, students and other staff in the field of science and technology . This Organisation also has male and female hostels and there total seat capacity of 198 students are available in this hall. Boys’ Hostel provides a total of 98 numbers of seats for students and Women’s Hostels provide 100 numbers of seats altogether. It also boasts modern laboratories for each department to guarantee practical learning to the learners.

The DM College of Science has various academic programs. 13 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate degrees. The B.Sc. programs are offered in Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Defence Studies, Anthropology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Environmental Science, Geology, Physics and Statistics – all as honours. At the post graduate level the college offers the following M.Sc. courses in Chemistry, Anthropology, Physics, Environmental Science, Electronics, Zoology, Mathematics, Botany and Statistics. Further, the college is also providing other facilities including B.P.E.S (Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports) and M.P.E.S (Master of Physical Education and Sports).

DM College of Science Admission Criteria Weightage is given to marks scored in entrance examination Successful candidates are selected self attested/original documents are also provided. For undergraduate programs the college accepts the SEball Common University Entrance Test /CUET UG Examination. The entry requirements to various postgraduate programs include entrance tests, interview and performance in the qualifying examination. Being a college, the admission policies are in line with those set by the state government and the university affliated to it.
