DMICE is an autonomous Institution established in the year 2001 situating at Chennai, Tamil Nadu that commenced its endeavour in the field of Technical Education. Located on a 55 acre expanse, DMICE has been in the forefront of designing the next generation engineers for the past two decades. The college which is accredited to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) aims at providing Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in different Engineering fields. In all, DMICE and its constituent colleges took in 1,444 students, undergraduate and postgraduate, as well as maintained a faculty strength of 159 dedicated teachers.

DMI College of Engineering is among those institutions that have functional, well equipped and resourceful campus to support the needs of the students. This college has well-equipped laboratories which gives a practical aspect for students to see what is practised in the field. The central library, open from 7:Open from 45 AM to 8:00 PM from Monday to Friday, the library is an information hub with all the books, journals and other material within the library. These databases offer students major technical international online journals like IEEE, ASME etc, Springer nature. 

DMI College of Engineering comprises of a total of thirteen courses spread across three degree programs to suit different fields of specialty. The institute offers a variety of courses which is undergraduate and postgraduate both, and as such all its courses are on full time bases. B.E. / B.Tech programs for undergraduate courses are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science among others. Towards Master of Engineering programs, the college currently offers M.E programs in communication systems, power electronics and drives computer science and engineering and thermal engineering. Equally, to those with business inclination, DMICE provides an MBA for anyone willing to study management.

The admission process in DMI College of Engineering is fair and efficient because it makes sure that those student who deserve to have the opportunity in school get that chance. The college accept scores from other examinations namely the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) and the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) for postgraduate programmes.
