The admission process is transparent and fully based on merit at DNMIET. The admissions in the B.Tech programs are done on a merit basis directly in terms of rank in UPSEE conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The Institute also gives its own counseling and Entrance Examination for the management quota seats, considering both the AKTU rank and the merit in qualifying examinations. The main entrance to the diploma courses is through the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh.
