The Don Bosco College of Agriculture operates as a fully accredited agricultural institution which was founded in 2014, located in Sagayathottam, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. This coeducational college is built on a vast hundred acres of land, and a primary aim of cultivating future agricultural leaders. Affiliated to the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), DBCA has a variety of post graduate programmes in agriculture and horticulture. This college has enrol a total of 61 students and has 48 faculty members mainly for providing personal attention and good qualitative education.
Don Bosco College of Agriculture has many superior infrastructure to facilitate environment and equipment that can complement the learner. Most of DBCA’s academic facilities are centrally located with its large central library with over 5000 agricultural technical books, Indian and foreign journals and periodicals. The facility also consists of department-based laboratories; practicals are important for students studying agriculture. Concerning the students’ health and exercise hobbies, DBCA has several types of sports amenities. The learning institute compriises of male and female hostels with qualified wardens and well-furnished, airy rooms.. This is in form of a student canteen where students can get snacks and beverages within the compound, and an auditorium for events such as seminars.
Don Bosco College of Agriculture offers a focused curriculum with three main courses, Besides, it offers the following programmes. B.Sc Agricultural Hons, B.Sc Horticulture Hons and Diploma in Agriculture. The two programmes leading to the award of Bachelors degrees are four year courses while the diploma programme is a two year course. All offered courses are in full-time mode, which helps student to get prepare and to get practical experience. Judging from course offering schedules, the college has a focused attempt at the education of youths in agriculture involving both theoretical knowledge and its application.
