Don Bosco College of Education, Yadgir started its journey in the year 2004 and is an affiliated college located at Yadgir, Karnataka. This co-educational college located in a twelve acre land intends to produce future educationists. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college provides the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course, which showing it’s concern for the training of teachers. It caters for a total of 68 students and a faculty of 7. 

The Don Bosco College of Education possess a number of amenities that helps in the learning process of the college students. A good library is very important and in essence is a calm place for learning and resources to enable and assist in research work /being resourceful and is endorsed with an ample stock of books relevant to the syllabus and promoting learning. The campus is equipped with well-equipped laboratories that blend the concepts that learner gets in the classroom with those that are relevant in the field. Consequently, for organisations activities and other occasions, the college has an auditorium where seminars, cultural activities, and academic meetings are held.

Don Bosco College of Education, Yadgir, currently offers one full-time course, its Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This is a two-year programme with an approved intakes of 100 students for those passionate for teaching towards enhancing the education sector. The course in B.Ed is focused on providing the student with pedagogy skill, course content knowledge and real teaching practice for a successful teaching profession.

The admission process of Don Bosco College of Education, Yadgir is very simple and the student’s admission is done only based on merit. The admission to the B.Ed programme requires the candidate to have at least 50% marks in graduation or post graduation level. The admissions of the college are done on a first come first served basis provided the candidate does meet the above requirements. In cases of high application volumes, the institute shall may set a written examination and an interview in order to select candidates.
