About Don Bosco Institute of Technology - MMS, Mumbai
Don Bosco Institute of Technology- MMS (DBIT), Mumbai, was established in 2001. This is one of the pioneers of academic institutes at Kurla in Mumbai. This institute is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and has been assessed at B++ grade by NAAC, New Delhi. AICTE has approved the institute. The co-educational institute offers varied programmes in Engineering and Technology with Management studies. Spread across a 5-acre campus, it has a total student enrolment of 1173 and a faculty strength of 53.
DBIT believes in providing students with facilities that are at par with international standards to improve their learning experience. The institute has a gym equipped with modern fitness equipment, including dumbbells, bench-press, treadmills, and multi-gym equipment. The DBIT provides a fully furnished library and highly advanced IT infrastructure for pursuing academics. Sports enthusiasts will find a spacious playground that is ideal for football, volleyball, basketball, and badminton, besides indoor games such as table tennis, carom, and chess. The cafeteria on campus is contemporary in its outlook, with a seating capacity of 100, where the students can sit back, relax, and spend time fraternising. Apart from this, DBIT has well-furnished, well-equipped laboratories for each department, allowing students to gain practical experience in their respective fields of study.
It offers a total of 5 courses: 4 full-time B.Tech programmes and 1 full-time MMS course. The B.Tech programmes involve Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering, with an intake of 60 each in all except Mechanical, which is 120. The MMS programme is admitted to 60 students.
