Established in the year 2009, Doon Valley College of Education, Karnal, is among the top-rated teacher educational institutes of Sector 17, outside Jundla Gate, Karnal, Haryana. This co-educational institute is an affiliated college with prior approval from NCTE, New Delhi.

The infrastructural facilities in the college are excellent, thereby enhancing the learning processes of the students. The library is fully computerized and has a built-up area of 13,000 sq. feet. It is built on an area of 29,000 sq. ft., comprising of more than 80,000 books pertaining to all subjects like B.Ed, B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, BBA, MBA, BCA and MCA, along with 120 online journals. It has computerized services with a spacious reading hall accommodating about 700 students at one time. The college also has a health centre with first-aid facilities, a well-equipped gym, and sports for the health and wellness of its students. Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are also available and well-equipped for comfortable on-campus living by out-of-town students.

Doon Valley College of Education imparts teacher training mainly through a Bachelor of Education program. This is a regular full-time, two-year course with an intake of 300 seats sanctioned, thereby making the course one of the bigger courses in B.Ed in the region.

Admission to Doon Valley College of Education is made in accordance with the instructions of the State Government, U.T. Administration, and affiliating university. Normally admissions are made on the basis of merit in qualifying examination and or entrance examination. However, the college may follow other processes for selection as per the policy in vogue.
