Dr. Ambedkar Arts and Science College, Kasaragod was started in the year of 2005 and that ere is a leading arts and science college in Kerala, India. Located in one of the beautiful towns of Periye, this affiliated college occupies as large as 15 acres of land. The institution has seven under graduate and post graduate programmes for the 698 expanded student body equipped with passion to learn. The college has trained and qualified faculty of 35 members to cater the needs of the large number of students providing individual attention and quality education system.

Dr. Ambedkar Arts and Science College has well equipped modern facilities in the college that are meant to supplement the learning of the students. Academic resources are a collection of over 3,000 books, a rich library with Leather Sofas, study tables and beautiful lighting in the reading room. For the practical knowledge and skill development, the institution has various labs such as Language Lab and Psychological Lab and have all essential amenities which were required for practice in those fields. It also has the students general developments through sports facilities and cultural events through an auditorium for seminars among others.

Dr. Ambedkar Arts and Science College provides 7 full-time programmes. These programmes comprise the B.Sc Physics, BA English, B.Com, BBA offered for three years and M.Com Finance, M.Sc Physics, and MA English offered for two years of graduation as well as post graduation. It is possible because the college offers a wide range of programmes, which give student a chance to follow the desired occupation in arts or science stream.
