Dr. Ambedkar College of Social Work, Wardha, was established in 1993. The institution is a quintessence of Social Work education in the state of Maharashtra, India. Manifold facilities are available here to enrich learning and all-round development of students. The academic resources center is college library, which has over 3,000 books, stocks in English, Hindi, and Marathi, and more than 30 national magazines and periodicals. This, indeed, forms a very valuable resource base for the students and the faculty of the institution. The college has sports facilities for physical well-being and recreation to foster a balanced approach toward education. The cafeteria forms a very necessary part of the campus where students and staff take an informal period of rest and recharge. An on-campus auditorium is provided that serves as an events, seminars, and cultural activities venue that enriches campus life. The college has also intelligently arranged guest rooms and waiting areas for visiting faculty and family members of students to make the place user-friendly for each one. 

Dr. Ambedkar College of Social Work offers three full-time courses: Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work, and Ph.D. in Social Work. These courses are meant for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars, respectively. The intake capacity is 60 in both BSW and MSW, and for the Ph.D. programme, there were 20 research scholars. This systematic approach allows for a maximum total number of student enrolment of 140 students in all the combined programmes and ensures that students have proper focus and quality in social work education.
