Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Institute of Information and Management Sciences (DAMITS) in Sundargarh Institute and recognized by the AICTE. The Institute has been providing undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various subjects of management and information technology. The admission procedure in DAMITS is set in a pattern based on which program is chosen. Usually, the admission cycle begins in the months before the academic year starting around August to September. For undergraduate programs like BCA, BBA, etc., the institute holds direct admissions at the college level. Postgraduate programs like MBA, MCA, etc. involve direct national-level entrance exams for admissions. For admission to the MBA program, scores are accepted from different entrance exams at the national level such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, and OJEE.
An array of accepted exams for MBA admissions gives candidates opportunities for admission on different fronts. There are generally two streams for admission into MCA: either qualify or be liable for consideration through OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) scores. In other words, it is mandatory to qualify in OJEE for any student to be admissible into the MCA program at DAMITS. Undergraduate basic eligibility would normally consider 10+2 from a recognized board to be an accepted qualification, while postgraduate candidates should possess a bachelor's degree concerning that particular discipline from a recognized university.

Admission Process
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The BCA program at DAMITS has a total intake of 100 seats. The admission to this program is by means of direct admission by the college. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 with the required subjects apply. The selection is probably done on the basis of academic merit and other criteria set up by the institute.
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): BBA programme offered at DAMITS finds a total intake of 60 seats. Like BCA, BBA admissions are conducted directly by the institute. Eligible candidates who have completed their 10+2 can apply. The selection process may include the consideration of academic performance and other parameters by the college.
MBA (Master of Business Administration): There is an intake of 60 seats for the MBA program in DAMITS. The MBA admission process is deemed to be more competitive as it follows the national level entrance. The candidates are asked to apply based on the scores of CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, or OJEE. The institute would take into account the scores from the entrance test, their academic background, and may also conduct other rounds like group discussions or personal interviews for the ultimate selection.
MCA (Master of Computer Applications): The MCA program at DAMITS has a total of 60 seats. The admission to MCA is on the basis of OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) in the first place. The candidate must appear and qualify in OJEE to be eligible for admission. The selection will be made on the basis of the OJEE score and other parameters prescribed by the Institute.
