DAMITS abbreviated for Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Institute of Information Technology and Management Science, Rourkela Odisha was founded in 2001. This affiliated college is NAAC accredited and AICTE approved. The DAM ITS ranging in accreditations over a 5.745 acre campus provides four degree programmes and 280 total student enrolment. It has a well qualified faculty student ratio of 24 faculties.

To support the students’ experience, Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Institute of Information Technology and Management Science provide number of amenities. Currently, the institute has four full-time courses in existence at undergraduate and postgraduate study tiers. These are Bachelor of computer application, Bachelor of business administration, Master of computer application and Master of business administration.

Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctorate, and International students go through different admission procedures in DAMITS. For MBA admissions, candidates are expected to write the entrance examinations like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA or OJEE. The MCA programme makes it mandatory for candidates to pass the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). Despite the absence of certain guidelines for carrying out admissions for BBA and BCA, these programmes generally admit students based on academic qualification in certain qualifying examinations.
