The Kumta based Dr. A.V. Baliga College of Commerce and Business Administration was set up in 1966. As an affiliated college this occupies a large campus of 38 acres of land and has acquired accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). In commerce and business administration, the college has three degree programs currently accommodating 537 students. This institute has a strength of eighteen members of the faculty which helps in maintaining an adequate student, teacher ratio. Dr. A.V. Baliga College is specifically famous for catering business education related courses at the under graduate level alongside post graduate level.
