About DBRAIT, Port Blair

Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair was established in the year 1984 as Dr BR Ambedkar Government Polytechnic College. The institute was renamed as Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology in the year 2010. Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair is the oldest engineering college in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The B.Tech courses of the institute are affiliated with Pondicherry University and the diploma courses are affiliated with Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai.

Dr BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair is certified by ISO 9000, approved by the AICTE, recognised by UGC and accredited by NBA and NAAC with a B grade. DBRAIT Port Blair admission is done on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the previous qualification.
