Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Architecture is situated in Navi Mumbai and was founded in 1992. This affiliated college is situated in one of the rapidly developing cities of India, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra This college is approved by the Council of Architecture and hence offers proper education in this field. The college has a small area of land of 1.4 acres and is fully accredited for the 421 students it is privileged to serve. In total, the institute has 17 experienced faculty members to teach students in their two programmes in architecture. 

Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Architecture is devoted to enhancing the quality standards in the school thus, offering architectural programmes with diverse learners and equipped physical campus. In this regard, the institute boasts of having made available a number of facilities that supplement learning amongst its students. The college is centrally visioned by a library in which every student has sufficient opportunities to read, and gain adequate coverage of architectural resources and literature. Climbing to the level of experiences, the material lab is equipped with the new items so that the students get the feel of the modern building materials. It also has a complete computer workstation with computers for each learner complete with the latest software accompanied by experienced technicians.

For the sports enthusiasts, the college offers the chances of practicing on the sports facilities. This campus also boasts an auditorium for occasions including events and seminars in education hence promoting academic life. To help and assist the college and the students, hostel accommodation for both male and females are available in the college. A canteen provides meals to the staff and students and a health centre with first aid services take care of the colleges staff and students. 

The Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Architecture teaches two vital courses in the study of architecture. The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) is a first level full time professional degree programme that takes five academic years, and it offers intakes 40 students annually. The college provides Master of Architecture (M.Arch) which is 2 years full-time course. As for both programmes aim at teaching students the fundamentals of architectural education and practice. The total student enrolment in all the courses is 421  which clearly shows that the college is still able to enrol a limited number of students to allow the college offer quality education with regard to student respect teachers.

Through the admission process which is open for every course provided at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Architecture, the college is able to sort out the best and intelligent individuals to join the institution’s architectural programmes. For the B.Arch programme, the admissions are given mostly on the basis of scores obtained in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). NATA as stated earlier is a normalisation test that evaluates the candidate’s ability to study architecture with sectional areas like visual perception, aesthetics and logical ability. Scholarship programmes are also availed in the college. The institution has a powerful alumni support, as the majority of who reported to graduated from the institution continued to contribute immensely to the advancement of architectural practice.
