DYPIMR Pimpri: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Management and Research, Pimpri, Pune was established in the year 1994. This affiliated college has a campus sprawling over 0.5 acres and is NAAC accredited and AICTE approved. DYPIMR offers 3 postgraduate courses across 2 degrees, namely, management and computer applications. It has a total enrolment of 520 students, with 49 faculty, and has a diversified student body consisting of 64% males and 36% females. The in-state student population is 96%, and those from outside the state of Maharashtra make up 4%, showcasing its regional stronghold.

Facilities: Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Management and Research provides all necessary facilities to the students for an overall development and experience of students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus that facilitate comfortable accommodation for out-of-town students. A well-equipped library having more than 23,391 books, journals, and magazines is properly complemented with a well-spaced reading hall that provides the ideal atmosphere to study. This institute has appreciable IT infrastructure; as there are 201 computers networked through central servers, providing the latest licensed software and internet connectivity not only during college hours but 24 hours in a day. For health and wellness, DYPIMR maintains a health center having first-aid facilities with a gym. The campus also houses a canteen, sports facilities, and a centrally air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 250 people for various important events, seminars, and guest lectures.

There are three full-time courses in DYPIMR: MBA, MBA in Digital Marketing, and MCA. The intake for MBA is 180; for MBA in Digital Marketing, it is 60; and for the MCA programme, the intake is 120. These programmes are designed in accordance with the changing industry needs, whereby theoretical exposure is given to students. The postgraduate focus of the institute is further established with 100% students enrolled in its PG programs. 

The admission process in DYPIMR is extensive and competitive. The candidates applying for the programs MBA and MBA in Digital Marketing have to be Indian nationals, who appeared for and qualified the MAH-MBA-CET (Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test). The institute also accepts the test scores of CMAT and CAT conducted by IIMs. For MCA, the candidate has to appear and qualify in the MAH-MCA-CET (Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance Test). These entrance exams happen in the first quarter of the year, and the results are usually out within a month or so.
