Dr. D.Y. Patil Science and Computer Science College now has branches at Nigdi Pradhikaran Akurdi, Pune was established in the year 2000. This affiliated college has been providing specific course in computer science at bachelors and masters degree level. The total number of students enroled in the college is 357 with teaching faculty of 31 members which help in maintaining a customised learning atmosphere. The institute offers two main degree programmes: UG Programmes such as the B.Sc Computer Science and PG Programme such as the M.Sc Computer Science that takes in hardworking students with a love for the growing world of computer science. 

Dr. D.Y. Patil Science and Computer Science College offers a list of facilities developed to facilitate student learning process. Good library facilities form the information resource centre of the institution with large stock of books to support its educational stock in the areas of philosophy human rights management and literature among others. The concern to the technological facility of the college is underlined in the college’s computer laboratories with recently installed Pantium computers. For overall personality development of the students the institution has sports amenities and extramural activities in indoor and outdoor games including football, volleyball, etc. 

Dr. D.Y. Patil Science and Computer Science College has a total of two courses including full time computer science course. Programme B.Sc. Computer Science takes place in three years, and M.Sc. Computer Science takes two years to complete.
