KNMEC Modinagar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Dr. K.N. Modi Engineering College, Modinagar, is an affiliated college founded in 2009. The institute is AICTE-approved with a total of four diploma programs in engineering fields. Its campus stretches over 10.21 acres. Enrolment is for a total of 175 students, and the faculty consists of 29 members, which provides a focused learning atmosphere. Specialisations are offered in the fields of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Production Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

KNMEC has a variety of facilities that can enhance the experience of students. The separate boys' hostel and girls' hostel provide an ideal environment to live in, with accommodation having facilities for internet and good, nutritious food. A well-stocked library with more than 6000 volumes that are linked to DELNET connectivity for providing access to e-books, references, etc., would offer good support to students in accomplishing their course projects. Sports facilities such as a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a gymnasium are also available on the campus. It hosts a 24/7 medical facility, and there is a reputed hospital in the vicinity. It maintains state-of-the-art IT infrastructure with a 45 MBPS fibre optic internet connection and WiFi connectivity across the campus.

KNMEC has four full-time diploma courses, three years each, with a total sanctioned intake of 210. These include the Diploma in Civil Engineering (30 seats), the Diploma in Mechanical Production Engineering (60 seats), the Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (60 seats), and finally, the Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (60 seats). In these, the pupils would participate in acquiring practical skills and theoretical knowledge about their respective fields.

Admission to KNMEC is followed by two methodologies. First and foremost is the methodology adopted through counselling of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education, Lucknow. Secondly, direct admissions at the institutional level are also taken. To get direct admissions into diploma courses, a minimum of 35% of marks obtained in the 10th standard examinations is mandatory. This dual approach therefore allows deserving students to avail themselves of multiple opportunities to gain admission into programs they aspire to.
