TANCET exam 2025 will tentatively be conducted in the second week of March 2025.
About MCET Pollachi
Dr Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology in Pollachi commonly known as MCET, was established in 1998. MCET Pollachi endeavours to impart high-quality, competency-based technical education in Engineering and Technology to the younger generation with the required skills. MCET Pollachi offers UG, PG and PhD programmes with specialisations.
The courses at MCET Pollachi are BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MCA, and PhD. Admission into BE/B.Tech is given based on the TNEA counselling process based on the 10+2 examination results whereas admission into ME/M.Tech, and MCA are given based on TANCET examination scores. Admission into PhD courses is given based on the entrance exam conducted by the college.
MCET Pollachi also awards scholarships to its students to finance their studies. The placement cell at MCET Pollachi provides job opportunities to its students with competitive pay packages. The highest package of the college in 2023-24 reached Rs 13 LPA whereas the average package stood at Rs 4.8 LPA.

At this stage it is quite difficult to predict the rank with the given some as the rank depends on various factors such as normalisation of marks, highest score in the exam, total number of candidates appeared etc. If it is TS EAMCET then marks scored in qualifying examination that is Intermediate second year will given 25% weightage and 75% weightage is given for marks scored in TS EAMCET. In case of AP EAPCET there is no weightage given for marks scored in qualifying examination.
With the given score your rank is expected to vary in between 40,000-50,000. Do note that this is only the estimated rank. The actual rank is going to vary based on the factors mentioned above.
