The Dr.M.G.R. Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women started in the year 1996 and is located at Chennai is one of the women’s only college in Chennai. For postgraduate studies the college offers 7 programmes which are, MA in English Literature & Human Resources Management M.Sc in Information Technology and Applied Microbiology. The principles of the liberal education are apparent in the courses of the college as seen from the specialisations including the BA and MA in Natya; an indication of support for arts together with conventional academic areas.
