Dr. Rajendra Prasad College of Education, Asifabad was started in the year 2003, affiliated college located in Hyderabad, Telangana India. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and functions solely in the area of teacher education. The college is located on a land area of 5.25 acres and has been capacitated to admit 197 students in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. Currently, the faculty of the institute comprises 17 members, and the institute continues to uphold an affordable student-faculty ratio which guarantees effective interaction with each learner.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad College of Education has a number of amenities that are in a position to support the learning process of the learners. In this regard, the College library is instrumental in supporting college education, departmental laboratories allow for practical learning. An auditorium supports events and seminars so as to promote an active academic culture. The campus also includes cafeteria facilities, a Health Centre which encompasses both teaching and First Aid facilities, and fully operational Information Technology systems. From the health perspective, students have an access to sports facilities and gym in the college. Moreover, a guest house is also present for the faculty visitors and students’ families as the institute is hospitable.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad College of Education is a college for B.Ed and its speciality is B.Ed programme by providing hundred seats for every academic year. Such an approach enables the college to focus on the targeted delivery of quality teacher education to produce quality teachers. The regular two years B.Ed course is aimed at providing rich educational background and all essential pedagogy to build up the competent educational professionals for the future teaching profession.

The admission process within the DRPCE is marketing with reference to marks scored in qualification examination and any entrance test. The college adheres to the admission policies formulated by the state government/Union Territory administration and the university under which it operates. The college has always complied with government and university rules and regulations to effectively and efficiently admit all students without compromising their equal rights.
