Dr. R.G. Bhoyar Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research came into existence in 2009 being a private institution involved in providing education in the field of pharmacy. This affiliated college is situated at the Wardha district of Maharashtra state and its functioning is governed under the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. PCI approved institute, it is situated on a campus of 1.07 acre in Barhampur. It provides two courses of studies in pharmacology D.Pharma and B.Pharma with total admission capacity of 127 and faculties are 26 in number. Since the institute is providing focus on quality education in the pharmacy, it would indeed make it a preferred institute for the prospective pharmacists in the region.
Dr. R.G. Bhoyar Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research has also established a litany of learning facilities aimed at improving the academic productivity of the students. Labs are equipped and essential areas like Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biotechnology are main laboratories. Employing the state of the art facilities, these labs are helpful in offering students real-life experiences on what is in practice today within industries thus closed gap between theory and practice.
It is a house filled with knowledge for students and the community, containing over 1800 books and journals subscribed to 10 National and International journals. It also contains a reading room with newspapers and magazines and different books which provide conducive environment for reading and researching. For special attention, the library provides Book Bank facility for students who are in need of such assistance.
Dr. R.G. Bhoyar Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research offers two primary courses: a two-year Diploma course in pharmacy, also known as D.Pharma and a four-year Under graduate course in pharmacy also recognised as B.Pharma. Both are full time programmes approved for enrolment of 60 students each enrolled for 120 seats in total for both courses. Organising the institute around these two core pharmacy programmes enables it to offer specialised pharmaceutical education to students as they gain adequate training in the desired field.
