Dr. R. N. Lahoti Polytechnic College, Sultanpur was established in the year 2009 in Buldhana district, Maharashtra. The affiliation and AICTE approval have been granted to the many diploma programmes in different streams of engineering. The institute spreads on 7.06 acres of the campus with a total enrolment of 223 students at the undergraduate level, and a faculty strength is 28. These include three full-time diploma courses of three years' duration including Mechanical Engineering, Computer Technology, and Information Technology. Technical Education through Dr. R.N. Lahoti Polytechnic College is more modelled towards meeting the changing demands of the industry. 

Dr. R. N. Lahoti Polytechnic College provides a variety of facilities for improving the learning experience of its students. The institutional library has 6000 books and reference materials to support a student with ease in getting resources that are needed, coupled with a digital library. It also houses 32 fully equipped laboratories with superior quality instruments, assuring students of practical knowledge in their respective fields of learning. The college equally place importance on the physical fitness and recreation of the students, providing sports facilities as well as a gym. For the all-round development of the students, there is an auditorium for conducting events and seminars; a cafeteria for relaxation; and a health centre with first-aid facilities. The college has the feature of providing transport facilities to its students and employees for easy transportation. 

At present, Dr. R.N. Lahoti Polytechnic College is running three full-time diploma courses of three years' span. These courses are of different branches of Engineering like Mechanical Engineering, Computer Technology, and Information Technology and thereby provide the students a choice for career improvement. The total approved intake for the total of three combined courses is 180 and for every course, it is 60. It assures a balanced student-faculty ratio to aid in personal attention and effective learning. 

The admission process at Dr. R.N. Lahoti Polytechnic College is designed to be simple and easily understood by the students. Admission in Maharashtra takes place based on the performance at the MHT CET for admission to the diploma course.
