Dr S Radhakrishnan Teachers Training College, a co educational institution started in the year 2010 is situated at Ramgarh, Jharkhand. This affiliated college located in a small area of 0.89 acre of land is a teacher training institution. Recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college provides two professional teaching programmes. Having 194 students at the moment and 31 members of the faculty, the institute remains relatively small. The dean’s devotion towards a quality college is quite evident with the focused curriculum that the college presents, which majors only in two areas of education degree.

Dr S Radhakrishnan Teachers Training College prides itself with several establishments that are intended to compliment the learning process of students. A spacious library has more than 4000 books and is an important resource for learning. University boasts of facilities such as a computer lab with IT facilities to enhance computer illiterate aspiring teachers. For physical welfare the college provides a gym and athletic fields; there is a playground for playing badminton, volleyball, football and cricket etc. Out-station students are provided a 20 bed Boys’ Hostel. Welfare is also valued with the available college medical centre.

Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Teachers Training College is delivering two full time courses in education at a time that address the need of teacher training at various stages. Currently, the institute offers the B.Ed programme and the D.El.Ed as its academic programmes. They both takes two years, and their aims is to prepare the students to have sufficient knowledge and skills in teaching careers.

The admitting criteria for the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Teachers Training College involves the performance of the students in the qualifying examination and or the entrance examination. The college adheres to the admission polices provided by the state government of Jharkhand as well as the affiliate university. The candidates are offered admission in the B.Ed programme on merit of the qualifying examination or as per rules framed by the state government/university norms.
