Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex in Kolkata was founded in the year 2009. This is one among the West Bengal colleges which are approved by AICTE, and it occupies a campus area of 5.64 acres. The college has 1,275 students with 120 teachers. It offers 17 courses in 5 degree programmes. Almost equal guys have 49% and girls have 51%. Also, the majority are from West Bengal with 66% and 34% students come from other states.

It covers a considerable area, with an all-inclusive campus. The library offers many resources, including a book bank and a circulation section. It is also offering e-journals through IEEE/IEE to the students. Its sports and fitness too offers an all time facility of the gymnasium and much more. In addition to the boys' hostel, there is a separate girls' hostels equipped with modern IT and Wi-Fi. It has a health center to fulfill the medical needs, an auditorium for the organizing of events, a canteen, and specialized labs for practicing. The training and placement cell helps the students in every aspect of career opportunities.

The institute offers a wide range of programmes that reach from 6 B. Tech, 2 M. Tech, 2 Diploma, and 1 each B. Voc and D. Voc courses. The biggest programme comes at 180 seats in the B. Tech Computer Science and Engineering course.
