Dr. Virambhai Rajabhai Godhaniya College of Arts, Commerce, Home Science and Information Technology for Girls, Porbandar Established in the year 1988, affiliated with National and granted by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC, India), approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Spread over a 6.17-acre campus, the college is exclusively for girl students and offers 18 courses that form part of its 10-degree programs available to students. Presently, the student enrolment is 1,505, and the faculty strength stands at 40. With this number of faculty, a good teacher-to-student ratio is maintained in the college, assuring much care and quality education.

The college has quite several contemporary facilities to support its academic operations. A library is put up in the college, which is known as the knowledge centre of a student in holding a lot of books and digital information for having all the information needed by the student. The college campus is facilitated with advanced information technology infrastructure that continuously informs students regarding technological growth. The gym and sports facilities meet the demands of health and fitness-conscious students. The college claims a range of medical facilities with a health centre that even serves first aid and regular medical consultations. Dr. Virambhai Rajabhai Godhaniya College offers an extensive scope of academic programmes.It furnishes 18 programmes from full-time undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses and up to doctoral level. In addition, the college also offers programmes in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Home Science, and Information Technology. Some of the popular programs course are Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce with specializations in Accounting and Finance, Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Home Science, Bachelor of Computer Applications, Master of Arts in English, Master of Science in Information Technology and Computer Application, Master of Social Work, and Master of Commerce. The college also has an entry of 100 in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program approved by the NCTE. Besides, the college also offers Ph.D. programs in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Economics through departments for research-based students.      

Dr. Virambhai Rajabhai Godhaniya College follows a merit-oriented admission policy. Admission will be done in B.Ed Program as per the policies of the State Govt/UT administration and university.
