Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Medical College, Nahan, situated in Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh was founded in 2016. This affiliated college for boys and girls approved by National Medical Commission provides good standard medical education. With total student enrolment capacity of 365 and total faculty of 70 members the college has a well suitable environment for the medical education seekers. It currently provides two types of degrees in the field of medical education namely; the MBBS which for both the undergraduate and postgraduate level and MD-Community Medicine.
Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Government Medical College has laid down basic necessities that are paramount in the achievement of students’ normal development. The health center supplied with first aid facilities is responsible for the student’s health. This library plays the role of a providing the vast assortment of the medical literature and materials. Also, there are computerised facilities in the college and students are updated on recent advancements in medical technology and knowledge through computerised equipment.

MD Community Medicine is a postgraduate course that began a few years ago, and there are 3 seats available for the course, and it takes 3 years to complete.
