Established in 1970 Dr. Zakir Husain College, Ilayangudi is one of the famous college located in Sivagangai, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college, accredited with NAAC, is a full-fledged college with 43 acres of campus in and around Chennai. The college has 2464 students and 45 members of faculty; there are 21 courses in the college classroom in 8 programmes of degrees and diplomas.

Dr. Zakir Husain College believes in delivering quality education in the college along with a sporting, modern infrastructure. Today, it has a peculiar 400-meter 7-lane track for athletic meetings, basketball and ball badminton courts, table tennis, boys and girls’ volleyball grounds. There is a gym well equipped to meet the students need for body exercising.
