Dr. Zakir Husain College of Education Ilayangudi was established in the year 2008, Ilayangudi with Sivaganga District, Tamil Nadu, is an affiliated college. It is a coeducational college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education offering only teachers’ education. Located in 6.21 acres the college is now running with a total 157 learners and 8 permanent staffs.

Dr. Zakir Husain College of Education has been equipped with varieties of supportive facilities that complement the learning process of its learners. It plays an important role as a storehouse of books enabling students garner adequate educational resources. For practical purposes, the college has departmental laboratories, through which students can practice in their respective area of specialty. On this campus an auditorium is available for different occasions and seminars encouraging academic and cultural activities.
