DSM’s Institute of Information Technology and Management, Parbhani (DSM-IITM), is an acknowledged institution started in 1997. ITM University, a college affiliated by GK Podar Education Campus, Parbhani (Maharashtra) is nurturing the future of potential IT professionals for more than twenty years. This institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) introduces high standard education in the prescribed stream of Information Technology and Management. In terms of student strength the institute can accommodate 27 students and has teaching faculty of four members which gives overall concentrated environment. DSM-IITM offers postgraduate education and has an enrolment of 60 students in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme .
A number of sophisticated infrastructures have been developed in the institute to improve the learning needs of the students. Being a technology driven organisation, DSM-IITM has an air-conditioned computer lab with 40 Personal computers connected to High end server. This lab functions as the work area for students to undertake research activities and perform practice of applications, in addition to performing internet searches for academic content.
The institute library is filled with numerous resources, and contains more than 2, 200 titles and 6000 volumes which focus on the studies of Management and Information Technology. The library currently subscribes to more than 42 National & International journals and magazines for upgrading the knowledge of the students in their respective filed. Thus, the effective availability of these resources is facilitated by the use of the computerised library stock management system. This way, it is clear that a child’s development is not limited to only academics as seen at DSM IITM with different type of facilities.
The institute provides free wireless inter-connecting networks within institute premises so that students can surf to internet and use the resources at any place. As for sports and Recreation the school provides students with consisting and a gym for their physical activities. The college also has an auditorium for conducting seminars and other functions making the atmosphere of the college academic as well as culturally very active. The nourishing of the customers’ hunger requirements on the campus is provided by a cafeteria. A Health Centre offers facilities for first aid. For visitors, the institute provides guest house and waiting room for accommodating the visiting faculty and the students’ relatives respectively.
