DTSS College of Commerce and PD Turakhia Junior College of Commerce and Science, founded in the year 1984, is an autonomous affiliated college with a physical infrastructure situated in Kurar Village, Malad (East), Mumbai. Also, the institute is a NAAC-accredited institute which is a testimony to its school's commitment towards high standards of quality education. Spread over a small campus of 1.58 acres, the college offers a wide variety of 15 courses in 8 degree programs with a total student enrolment of 2,115. The faculty strength is 10.

It has facilities within the college campus to help students in learning and development. Library It is a fully air-conditioned library that was renovated in 2017. It consists of ten specialised sections, which include a digital library and a Ph.D. section. For hands-on learning experiences, the college houses department-based laboratories and two well-equipped computer labs with 68 computers, along with licensed software and internet connectivity. Within the campus, there is an air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 250 that can see many academic and cultural activities.

Some of the undergraduate courses provided by this institution include B.Com, B.Com Hons, B.Com in Accounting and Finance, B.Com in Banking and Insurance, BMS, B.Sc in Information Technology, and B.Sc Data Science. In the postgraduate section, this college offers an M.Com course in the Management and Accountancy groups and M.Sc in Information Technology. It also offers the research studies through M.Phil in commerce and accountancy and Ph.D. Philosophy, Accountancy, Business Policy and Administration, and Business Economics.
