Durgapur Institute of Polytechnic, Durgapur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Durgapur Institute of Polytechnic, since its establishment in the year 2014, is a technical institution located in the city of Durgapur in the state of West Bengal. The spread over of DIP is over a sprawling 65-acre campus and offers various diploma courses in the field of engineering. The institute stands to be approved by the councils of All India for Technical Education and is an affiliated college. With an overall enrolment of 471 students and a strength of 36 faculty members, the ratio of students to teachers stands at a positive note in DIP. 

DIP has a whole range of modern facilities to facilitate and promote the student experience. The hostels offered at the campus are separate for boys and girls, well-furnished and designed in a manner to ensure comfort and good living conditions. The students are provided with a well-stocked library, modern laboratories, and a state-of-the-art IT infrastructure. The institute also puts a lot of importance on the physical fitness of the students with a fully equipped gym and facilities for all sports. A large cafeteria serves various healthy meals and refreshments. The facility of the medical infrastructure in the time of emergency is also available nearby to the institute surrounding the Gouri Devi Medical College and Hospital. The banking services have been made easy through the banks with ATM facilities inside the campus of the institute.

This institute has four sets of full-time Diploma streams of three years each. The branches include namely, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology, and Civil Engineering. The total approved intake is 210 seats, which include 60 in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Science and 30 in Civil Engineering.

It is this entrance examination through which the willing student can secure his place in his intended diploma program.
