DVS College in Gwalior, the college was established in the year 2005 is an affiliated college situated in Gwalior of Madhya Pradesh state. Located in Prem Nagar aforesaid institute is a co – education institute having a small area of 2.0658 acres and is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for better standard of teacher education. DVS College currently has two programmes in education that enrolment 150 student for all the programmes offered at the college. The college has a faculty of 22 very committed teachers, ensuring that the students get the best attention in class as much as possible.

The college aims to create a favourable environment that will allow enabling students’ academic and personal development via available facilities. The campus includes properly accredited laboratory for science subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Botany and zoology and thus students are able to practice what they have learnt. To the group of students interested in technology, there is a computer laboratory with Pentium IV processors, a range of operating systems, and Internet connection. The college library functions as an information central or information resource center that provides different books or additional materials that could help the learners. With the intent of addressing issues of health and togetherness the school has equipped itself with apparatus for sporting events such as chess, caroms, table tennis, volley ball and football.

DVS College, Gwalior, focuses on teacher education, offering two full-time courses. The following are of those degrees: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Education (D.Ed). The B.Ed programme with an approved intake capacity of 100 students is a course that takes two years to complete, to train student teachers for teaching at secondary and higher secondary level.

Admission criteria at DVS College, Gwalior are direct admission based on merit in marks secured in the qualifying and entrance tests. In the case of the B.Ed programme, admission is offered on the basis of merit of the exam conducted for this purpose or an entrance exam as per the government norms of the state government/University where the college is affiliated.
