DY Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur, popularly known as DYPCET Kolhapur, is one of the reputed affiliated Engineering colleges which was established in 1984. This affiliated campus of AICTE is stretched over 2.57 acres in Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. DYPCET Kolhapur is accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE. The total enrolment of students in the institute is 2,695, and the faculty of the college is 174.

Following are the facilities available in the institute that make student life more enriching. Campus is further equipped with separate hostels for boys and girls availing hospitality to out-of-town students. The college library is considered the hub of knowledge, stocking more than 44,642 books. It is also a member of many other libraries like INDEST-AICTE and DELNET for interlibrary loan and document delivery. The various engineering programs offered at DYPCET Kolhapur include a total of 9 courses spread over 2 degree levels. The college offers 7 full-time undergraduate B.Tech programs and 2 postgraduate M.Tech programs. The total approved intake for all courses put together is 936. 

 Admissions to DYPCET Kolhapur are largely based on marks in an entrance examination. The College accepts JEE Main and MHT CET scores for admissions to its undergraduate courses. He/she shall have a non-zero positive score in one of the above examinations. For postgraduate courses, entrance will be offered according to the GATE scores. The admission schedule of the college is in line with what is adopted by the authorities of Maharashtra state as it normally admits students in the months following the announcement of results of entrance exams.
