It was in the year 2002 that DY Patil College of Nursing, Kolhapur, was established with the objective of serving as a reputed constituent institution for nursing education. Nursing with an approved intake of 100 seats, which makes it a commitment of the college to discharge a considerable number of qualified nurses into the health care industry annually. Apart from this undergraduate course, the college offers Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic M.Sc Nursing with specializations in Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing. A postgraduate program is being conducted with an intake capacity of 5 seats each, providing focused training with specializations.
