The East Point College of Medical Sciences & Research Centre was set up in 2014 and is one of the regarded medical colleges in Bangalore, Karnataka. This affiliated college is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and encompassesnumerous medical courses to the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Located in Jnana Prabha Campus Virgonagar Post Bidrahalli the college has a total admission capacity for students 580 and faculty and staff of 189.

The college has adequate physical facilities which are in consonance with the current academic demands. The library, in the proportions of 30 000 sq.ft., stands as a veritable source of medical information and canopies an enormous number of books, periodicals as well as digital overtures. It also has an e-libraries with HELINET access and an Information Center with fifty Internet enabled computers. Due to this the library for students’ comfort is well lit and is open and air-conditioned. The campus also has very fine IT facilities which enable the students to obtain various technological facilities important for the studies. Suddenly, a new chapter called Health Education which offers first aid facilities through on-campus health centre.

East Point College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre currently offers a total of 16 courses through three degree levels. The largest course offering is the MBBS programme and it has the capacity of 150 students. Besides, the college offers many postgraduate courses like MD and MS in Community Medicine, Radio Diagnosis, Psychiatry, Anaesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Forensic Medicine, Physiology, and Otorhinolaryngology, Biochemistry and Microbiology. 

In East Point College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre admission criteria are merit based and the process is streamlined. In the case of the MBBS program, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, more commonly known as NEET-UG is taken. The prospective candidates will have to pass in NEET and as per norms laid by the college and related bodies.
