Eklavya Mahavidyalaya, Banda: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Established in the year 2003, Eklavya Mahavidyalaya at Banda is the affiliated college to Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. Located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, the college is summed up to be 7 acres in size. The college holds the prior approval of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to run quality education for teacher training purposes. With an enrolment of 475 students in the first year and a strength of 59 faculty members, the Eklavya Mahavidyalaya offers a comprehensive selection of 12 different courses under 6 programs, suited to a wide variety of academic interests and accordingly to career goals.

The collage provides its cord and vast array of facilities that help enhance the overall learning better. Separate boarding facilities for boys and girls are provided on the campus premises for comfortable lodging. Courses have been designed at the Eklavya Mahavidyalaya for all streams in a unique sequence. Preparing 12 full-time courses in arts, sciences, and other streams, including graduation and post-graduation programs, the college is considered amongst the most popular. The most sought after are the BA and B.Sc, B.Ed and B.P.Ed, D.El.Ed and many MA programs in subjects like Sociology, Political Science, Education, History, English, Geography, and Home Science. 

To get admission to Eklavya Mahavidyalaya there is a different process for different course. Admissions to B.P.Ed and B.Ed courses are made on a merit basis with due weightage for marks scored in the entrance examination, conducted through written tests, fitness tests, and interviews, and the qualifying examination. For the exact process of selection, the state government's policy and that of the affiliating university determines that. For D.El.Ed also, admission shall be strictly made on merit delineated based on the marks of the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination. The college admits students according to the policies of the government of the state and university.
