Emmanuel College of B.Ed Training was started in the year 2005 and is located in Vazhichal, Thiruvananthapuram,Kerala. This co-educational institution is an affiliated college. It is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college is located on a 6.06 acre land area and has a total student ennrolment of 100 for it’s Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. Emmanuel College is equipped with twelve members of teaching staff which gives a student to teacher ratio that is healthy, insuring quality education.

Emmanuel College of B.Ed Training has various facilities aimed at facilitating the learning and the effective growth of the learners. Such are the hostel facilities for the boys and girls allowing them to afford comfortable discipline of their accommodation. An efficient library means a vast number of works preserved in it, including those that correspond to the student’s educational process. Amenities include computerised laboratories, a conference hall for meetings or functions, and a student and staff cafeteria. A first aid facility is available and a gym has proven to be useful in promoting the health of the tenants. For recreation and physical fitness, the college provides a number of sporting amenities that include construction of an outdoor stadium. Transportation facilities are available with the college own buses and instructions from K.S.R.T.C bus services as well.

Emmanuel College of B.Ed Training provides only one course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). The course is full time, running for two years and has an approved capacity of 50 students per year group. The B.Ed programme in particular helps to equip any prospective teacher do what is required to practice as a teacher in education system.

At present, the admission into Emmanuel College of B.Ed Training calls for merit. The names of the candidates shortlisted will be arrived at based on the marks in the subjects relevant for admission, with other weightage for other factors as laid down by University of Kerala and the college authorities.
