Being established in 1995, Emmanuel College, Vazhichal, is a well known college among other higher educational institutions located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This affiliated colleg,e located on a 12 acre area, has been shaping young generation’s future since its establishment more than a quarter of a century. At present, Emmanuel College has a total of 1504 students and 68 faculty members strongly supporting 18 courses within 6 degree programmes for every learner interested in diverse fields of education and professions.

Emmanuel College boasts about is the teaching facilities it has put in place as part of a learner’s education. The campus has a well-stocked, modern library with over ten thousand topic-related books, over twenty periodicals and hundreds of computerised CD-ROMs. Science and technology students have modern facilities such as Electronics lab, Computer Science lab, Biochemistry and Biotechnology labs, and Geographic Information Systems lab. The infrastructure in the IT department is excellent so the students are connected through Wi-Fi because most of their learning is done online. It has hostel accommodation for boys and girls separately, while the girls are accommodated in a hostels run by the Reverend Sisters.

The offered courses at Emmanuel College are diverse and in total there are 18 disciplines that any student may think of. These include thirteen undergraduate courses and five postgraduate courses, all of which are full time. The college has both conventional as well as current trends exploring courses right from B.Sc in Computer Science, B.Com in Finance and B.Sc in Botany and Biotechnology, B.Com in Tourism and Travel Management and so on.

Admission to Emmanuel College is normally accomplished without discrimination on the basis of merit. For all courses, there is an intimation to the college’s entrance examination through which admissions are carried out.
