Ettumanoorappan College, Kottayam, was established in 1995 and is an affiliated college in Choorakulangara Ettumanoor, Kasargod, Kerala. The college occupies a campus of 4.5 acres and intake capacity is 1,059 students and it has a total of 55 faculty members. The Ettumanoorappan College offers 18 programmes in total offered under 10 different degrees; Computer Applications, Mathematics, Commerce and Languages are some of the most popular options.

Ettumanoorappan College boasts of facilities that can improve the learning process of the students of the college. The LGH has approximately 19000 books, twenty journals and four periodicals, and an average of 150 students accessing the library daily. The institution has three computer laboratories all equipped with 90 computers and high speed LAN and internet. For academic debates or academic occasions the college provides a fully air-conditioned seminar hall with a sitting capacity of more than ninety people with proper audiovisual facility.

Ettumanoorappan College has general courses to provide for the needs of different students who have different interests in academics. The institution offers 18 courses which include both the under graduate and post graduate programmes. Depending upon its location some of the important courses are BCA, M.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, B.Com Computer Applications and various B.A & M.A in English, Malayalam and Economics etc. It also has programmes that are not traditionally found in other colleges including; B.Lib.Sc and BSW (Bachelor of Social Work). The approved intake for most of the under graduate courses is 40- 60 students for post graduate 20-30 students.

The admission policy in Ettumanoorappan College also as per the stipulations as avowed by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Hence, fifty percent of the total seat availability of any course be it under graduate or post graduate, is offered under the University CAP. The rest of the positions are filled by management’s selection, but the selection must meet the university conditions of the eligibility. Of the total 50% of the management seats, 65% are seats are reserved for the general merit and 35% are reserved for SC, ST and other backward class candidates. Candidates are selected and allocated according to the rank of the preferential candidate, and the number of vacancies available in the participating industry.

Girls are provided hostel facility in a two storied building outside the college premises.
