Dr. Ettumanoorappan College Kottayam. It has been strictly adhering to a systematic admission policy conforming to laid down by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses offered in different disciplines include Computer Applications, Mathematics, Commerce, Languages, and Social Work. Usually, admission goes from May-June until August-September. College admission is 50% through merit and another 50% through management quota. The University is conducting a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) which will be based on merit and reservation description for the centralized seat allotment.
Of the merit seats under 50%, 65% is for general merit and 35% for SC, ST, and other backward communities. Thus, bringing in a rich mix of students to Ettumanoorappan College. Degree wise Admission Process
Undergraduate B.Com Computer Applications: Approved strength of this program is 60. It accepts students on the basis of merit and through the Centralized Allotment Process of Mahatma Gandhi University.
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): Admission to this program will offer 60 seats and will be similar to that of B.Com Computer Applications in admitting applicants based on the merit of their 10+2 examination results as well as their CAP rank.
B.Sc Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science: This is a program whose sanctioned strength is 60 students. Admission is based on the merit of the 10+2 examination results in the Science stream and the rank obtained in the Centralized Allotment Process.
BA English: There are 40 seats for this program. Admission is based on performance in the 10+2 examination and the rank achieved in the CAP.
M.Sc Computer Science: This postgraduate program will have an intake of 30 students. Selections are done on the premise of an applicant's performance in the bachelor's degree examination and performance in the entrance examination held by Mahatma Gandhi University.
M.Sc Mathematics: Admission has been capped at 30 students, based on a candidate's performance in Mathematics, bachelor's degree results, and university entrance examination marks.
M.Com Finance: For admission, a candidate must possess a degree certificate in Commerce or allied areas with required marks and must secure the pass mark in the entrance examination.
MA English: Maximum 30 students are admitted to the program. Selective consideration is based on the results obtained in English or related subjects in the bachelor's degree and the results of the entrance examination conducted by the university.
