The Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST of Kashmir, Srinagar is one of the prestigious constituent college established in 2005. This is co-educational institution is based at Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir and aims at enhancing the growth of fisheries education and study. The faculty provides 13 courses at 3 degrees: Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate. Division of specialisations offered by the institute includes Fisheries Resource Management, Aquaculture, Aquatic Animal Health, and other fisheries sciences. From a curriculum aspect, facilities of the faculty have also benefited from noble objectives that embrace the qualities of excellence.

To support the teaching and research activities of the students the Faculty of Fisheries at SKUAST-K has several modern amenities. The college offers boys and girls accommodated separately in hostels to ensure that students from different parts of the country are well provided for. A good library supports students’ learning and research needs, as well as personnel and provides up-to-date information on fisheries and related sciences. There are 13 courses offered in the institute and all these are completely full time courses. Among those afternoon runs are 1 Bachelors degree (B.F.Sc), 8 Masters degree (M.F.Sc) Aquaculture etc.and 4 Doctorate programmes (Ph.D). Aquatic animal health .
