The Faculty of law at Adamas University, Kolkata is like a shining lamp house of legal luminaries in West Bengal. This is one of the constituent colleges and schools of Adamas University and was established in 2015, prominently in the field of law. As a part of NUJS, it is a law faculty built in the embryo of metropolitan Kolkata established to train the future generation legal talents through its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. It is accredited by the Bar Council of India (BCI) to make sure that the course offered in the institute is in line with the high standards of teaching law in India. The institute is already equipped with a committed team of 15 seasoned members prepared to offer students with the appropriate attention, academic discipline, and on-job experience.
For the learning of the legal professional, both academic and practical, the law shall provide students with several functional teaching amenities at the Faculty of Law. The moot court has well-endowed moot court facilities under which students are given actual exposure of courtrooms. Libraries provide core documents which are solicitors’ and barristers’ texts, journals, and digital sources of law. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled in order to enhance students’ ability to access necessary Internet resources for research and practice on the university territory. For those in search of a comfortable place to live, the university provides hostel facilities for boys and girls in single, two and three sharing, selected hostels have facilities for air conditioners. Faculty of law at Adamas University campus also contains theatres for conferences and other events, instructional laboratories for carrying out research and experiments and sports area for a good health of students. The Faculty of Law has four programmes in place, and all of these programmes are to establish a sound base of legal learning for students. These are three five-year integrated programmes namely the B.A., LLB (Hons.), the B.B.A., LLB (Hons.), and the B.Sc LLB (Hons.) in which 60 students are admitted each year. The faculty also provides the much more focused two-year LLM programme for students who want to delve deeper into a particular subject. Each of these courses is full time, something that will provide the student with the best results and outcomes. The combined programmes offer a synergy of legal study and the choice of arts, business or science for the students. This diverse course offering seeks to address the preferences and individual goal setters within the law profession.
The admission procedure at the Faculty of Law of the University of Hull is to ensure students who pass through this institution are the most competent. Regarding the admission of the integrated programmes the students have to follow the admission notification of the university where students’ eligibility and selection is stated.
