About Faculty of Law, PDM University, Bahadurgarh
The Faculty of Law, PDM University, Bahadurgarh came into existence in the year 2017 as a constituent college of the PDM University, Sector 3A, Sarai Aurangabad, Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Though nearly fledgling, the institute has gained much momentum as a very promising hub of legal education in the entire region. It is duly approved by the Bar Council of India and running two full-time courses in law, an integrated BA LLB for five years and a three-year LLB course. The University Library is set at the campus centre on three floors, standing tall beside a group of facilities that facilitate a conducive learning environment at PDM University.
The university library is a knowledge hub with an enormous collection of legal resources. It opens on all working days from 9 am to 5 pm, giving students the better part of the day to engage in research and study. The campus is fully technologized with a unified wireless communication network; over 100 access points ensure seamless internet connectivity throughout. The University has a special faculty for students interested in the practice of law, providing a moot court facility to let budding lawyers acquire their skills of advocacy in an environment as close to reality as possible. The university has paid heed to the health of the students by providing health care facilities within the campus, inclusive of PDM General Hospital functioning 24 hours a day. The Faculty of Law, PDM University offers two broader programs in the sphere of law.
The intake in the five-year integrated BA LLB is 120, and that for the three-year LLB course is 60 students. Both these courses are full-time campus-based courses with objectives to provide strength regarding theoretical and practical knowledge of the law. The BA LLB course is interdisciplinary in nature, which means that the legal education will be integrated with a bachelor of arts qualification; therefore, it forms a more holistic educational experience. Contrasting on the other hand, the LLB program has been designed for those candidates who have already attained a bachelor's degree in any streams and wish to join the legal profession.
