In 1999, the Father Muller Institute of Medical Education and Research was founded and exists in Mangalore, Karnataka. This affiliated college approved by NMC and functioning well offers numerous medical and allied health science courses.. Spread over 30 acres, FMIMER has an overall student strength of 1,100 and faculty strength of 280. Overall, the institute offers 46 courses across 12 degree programmes proving its aim at delivering a variety of medical education.

Father Muller Institute of Medical Education and Research possesses all the modern amenities necessary to supplement its academics activities. The campus has hostel facilities for boys and girls to enable them to have a conducive environment in the course of their learning process. For the MBBS programme there is direct admission through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG). Candidates aspiring to take admission to MD and MS courses, need to write NEET-PG examination and the results thereof are used to determine their admission. It also uses NEET SS for admission into super speciality streams.
