Florence College of Nursing, Irba: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The college got its name Florence College of Nursing, Irba established in the year 2004, is one of the top healthcare education institutions in Ranchi, Jharkhand. This affiliated college offers multi-programs in nursing and allied health professions and the programs have been accredited by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). This college occupies a constrained area of 3.05 acres and has an overall student enrolment of 245 and a teaching faculty of 32 members. Florence College of Nursing is dedicated for delivering quality education for healthcare professional and currently offers 9 courses at two degree levels, nursing and special healthcare related technologies.

They boast of having a host of facilities that improve the feel of the college. Accommodation: The campus consists of different hostels for the male and female students with well experienced wardens. Consequently, a well equipped library is central to enhancing the learning process of any category of students as wells as members of the faculty. 

The college also has a health center with first aid facilities to check on the health of the college and its members. In order to cope up with the different needs of educational modernity, Florence College of Nursing has incorporated Information Technology to support technological advancement of the college. For their meals, they are able to take affordable meals at the college canteen, helped by the fact that the college has transport facilities to ease transport. These facilities working conjointly foster an environment that is suitable for learning and personality development.

The college provides a good range of courses for the fields of nursing and health care education. The institute provides two full-time degree programs: Self financed B.Sc Nursing (4 years) with 60 seats and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (2 years) with 40 seat. Also, the college has five diploma courses that take two-years including; Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, ECG & EEG Technology and X-ray Technology. These diverse courses are evidenced in the college’s effort to produce comprehensive healthcare professionals to meet the dynamic nature of the profession.

Entry Requirements at Florence College of Nursing are aimed at choosing competent and hardworking students for its different courses. For the B.Sc Nursing program it had been decided that admission was to be carried on the basis of the guidelines prescribed by the Ranchi University. The Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and diploma programs usually come with a written test and then an interview. 

The college follows Ranchi University examination procedure for nursing courses and Para Medical Council Jharkhand for diploma stream.
