Franklin College of Education came into existence in 2007 at Baramulla and is an affiliated college located at Gous-Abad Chinkipora Sopore, Baramulla – Jammu & Kashmir. This institution is located in a small piece of land measuring 1.5 acres, and the institution offers teachers’ training through the B.Ed program. The total student intake is 110 and the faculty Strength is 12 that gives the college a student teacher ratio of 9: 1 which enable each student to get proper attention from teachers as they pursue their dream of becoming teachers. Also, the institution provides hostel facilities for boys and girls separately for those students who come from other provinces to enable them have a comfortable Place to stay.

Franklin College of Education is just offering one course called BVED which is purely a two-year full time course. It also means that the college as an institution can better and more efficiently focus on specialized knowledge to ensure highly qualified teachers. However, the graduation data for the recent year is missing and hence the graduates trained yearly cannot be determined, but based on the college rule of full enrollment, trained teachers are produced yearly.
