Fundamental Institute of Teachers Training, Dakshin Dinajpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Fundamentals Institute of Teachers Training, Dakshin Dinajpur, founded in 2016, is an institution for future teachers. This co-educational college, which falls under the state university system, intends to provide special education in teacher education. The institute holds affiliation with the National Council for Teacher Education and strives to maintain standards in pre-service teacher education in alignment with the national policy on education. This institution is teacher education based, having a compact campus of 0.75 acres with 198 students and 33 teachers.

There are different types of facilities that the Fundamental Institute of Teachers Training manages to provide for the sake of its students in order to enrich the learning process. The institute has a well-stocked library where students can access vast learning resources. The college also has departmental laboratories for practical training. It also focuses on overall development of students and so has arranged sports facilities for physical fitness and recreation. The campus has an auditorium which helps in conducting various events and seminars, thus allowing a healthy academic atmosphere to prevail. The college attends to the health problems of its students with the health center that provides first-aid facilities. The Fundamental Institute of Teachers Training focuses on only two major courses in the field of education. There are a total of two full-time courses available at the institute: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. Both these programs are developed to be gone through over a span of two years.

Admission procedure in the Fundamental Institute of Teachers Training is according to State Government and affiliating University Norms. In case of B.Ed Course admission is through marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance exam. The selection in D.El.Ed. coursed is done based on merit in consideration of marks obtained from the qualifying examination and/or entrance test.
