The establishment of FX Polytechnic College was in 2006, situated at Tharuvai, Tamil Nadu and it is an affiliated college. As a self-financed AICTE approved institution, the college is spread over a large area of 25 acres offering diploma in various fields of engineering. The total enrolment in a faculty of 755 and the faculty of 54 fx polytechnic college offer a good climate for the technical education. 

The college has several facilities that enable it provide learning environment and other development facilities for the students. There are boys’ and girls’ hostels which have the capacity to house 500 student’s each. These hostels offer good accommodation facilities which include provision of personal computers in the rooms, television Entertainment facilities. The college provides a building that is approximately 5000 sq. ft. for its library containing more than 52600 texts, references, registers and national and international journals. Football lovers get ready for some fun on the 23 acres of playing field comprising football, cricket, basketball, volley ball and many other activities. The college also has an open air facility area for exercising commonly known as the gymnasium.

The six diploma courses offered here at FX Polytechnic College are all full time programs that take three academic calendar years to complete. These courses include essential areas of engineering so that the students may develop good fundamentals in their field of specialization.
