G. Pulla Reddy Degree and PG College started in 1994 is one of the premier colleges in Hyderabad, Telangana. This affiliated college has a broad courses’ portfolio of undergraduate and post-graduate programs in different fields. Located on a limited area of two acre, this college has the total number of 1207 students and the faculty of 34. It offers 8 courses in 4 degree programs in the field of sciences, commerce and management. G. Pulla Reddy College student profile is nearly equal, 95 percent of the students are for the undergraduate courses and 5 percent for the postgraduate courses. This show that college is committed in providing quality education through it modern facilities and student oriented nature.

The college provides a variety of services to improve the quality of education for students in college. The core being academic, the library has more than 10,000 books in the various collections such as handbooks, references and journals. A large reading hall is also available for approximately 80 students in which reading atmosphere is most comfortable. The institution also has well equipped laboratories for practical, especially ideal for science students. 

To be on par with development in information technology, the college has a good IT support system. In the extracurriculum activities a gym is provided for students among other sporting equipments for use Sports and seminar/ event amenities include an auditorium. Besides, the availability of a cafeteria and a health centre for first aid student welfare is also provided.

G. Pulla Reddy Degree and PG College has total of 8 programs including Under Graduate & Post Graduate programs only. The undergraduate programs consist of three-year full-time B.Sc. (with streams in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science), B.Com, B.Com (Computer Applications), and BBA. For post graduation course, the college offers two year full time M.Sc. courses in mathematics and physics. These courses are offered in various fields of study to suit the various needs of the students who have varying careers goals. The college admits a total of 1,068 students and the institution has the capacity to produce a large number of professional in the society. In the academic year just ended, the institution had a total of 1207 students enrolled in all programs.

Admission in eligibility at G. Pulla Reddy Degree and PG College therefore assesses all aspirant students and only grants merit based admission. While admitting students for undergraduate programs, college takes into account marks secured in the qualifying examination 10+2 or equivalent. Postgraduate admissions are centralized through Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET) for most of the programs with an exception to M.Sc. programs. This entrance exam has therefore emerged as one of the requirements that prospective PG students have to pass. 

The college is well connected locally with its majority of students, 99% gravitating from within the state. Notably, the college also enrols a few percent of students from other states and countries and has a talented student population base too The college is also donated many scholarships for deserving students. In particular, the University spent GH¢244,410 on 602 undergraduate as well as 36 postgraduate students to cater for charges incurred in the 2022 academic year to show that it is keen on making education good and affordable.
