Established in the year 2005, G. Singh Law College is situated in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This is an affiliated college approved by the Bar Council of India offering courses in legal education. It has about 900 students enroled in different courses and 15 faculty members. The ambience of the college is centred on providing legal education to the student community. The campus area is 0.511 acres. G. Singh Law College has, by now, two full-time courses in law, one being 3-year LLB and the other being an integrated 5-year BA LLB course.
There is a well-stocked library with adequate facilities for legal research and study. It believes in promoting a balanced education by providing sports facilities for developing the physical health of its students to correspond and complement their academic pursuits. Committed to keeping the institution updated with contemporary educational requirements, G. Singh Law College has put in place excellent IT infrastructure. Notable among these is the Moot Court facility, which provides the students with an opportunity for practical exposure to the procedures in a court of law and the skills of advocacy. The working atmosphere is also improved by an auditorium that hosts events and seminars. Not only this, first aid facilities in the health centre are also taken to assure student welfare, and a separate parking area is designated to add to the convenience in the campus layout.
G. Singh Law College offers two full-time, integrated law programmes. The institute has a provision for admitting 300 students in the 3-year LLB programme and 120 students in the 5-year integrated BA LLB programme. It aims to include good grounding in Legal Studies for students in view of successful career opportunities in the diverse field of law. The specialisation that will be given by these two core programmes will allow the college to offer a comprehensive legal education in view of the developing needs of an active legal profession.
The admission process at G. Singh Law College functions only on merit, in the tradition and norms of the institution. A candidate has to appear for an entrance examination held by the Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University (Formerly Allahabad State University), Prayagraj. Admissions are based on marks in this entrance examination, which makes sure that the system is just and competitive. This programme is in resonance with the objective the college has to invite the best minds within its walls.
